FS1 is a very positive student who strives to do his best. He has made great growth over this school year and is determined and hard working. He occasionally has emotional outbursts indicating that he has difficulty managing his emotions. He is fixated on perfection, and struggles because of his fear of making mistakes. I want to support him in being able to grapple and feel value in trying things his own way rather than just following others so his work can be correct.

FS2 is vey sweet and sensitive, and cares deeply about the people in her life. She has been working on perseverance when school work is challenging, and has grown a lot in this. She is still working on managing her emotions and using calm down strategies when she becomes upset. She is very firm in her beliefs in what is "fair" and "not fair." I chose her for this cycle because of this in relation to my exploration of equity over equality.
